Domesticization breakthrough ensures nuclear power plant safety
The joint project "Application and Implementation of Full-Life Cycle Reliability Risk Pre-control Technology for High Voltage Current-limiting Fuse in Nuclear Power Plants" submitted by Zhongmeng Electric and Ningde Nuclear Power was awarded the third prize of the 2025 China Quality Technology Award. This award is one of the highest honors in the field of quality technology in China. It was established by the China Quality Association under the support of the National Science and Technology Department and the National Science and Technology Award Office, aiming to recognize quality innovation achievements and practical contributions, and to contribute to the construction of a quality-strong country.
This winning project innovatively integrates advanced methods such as FTA fault analysis and QFD quality function deployment. It systematically applies DFMEA and DFMA technologies, significantly enhancing the reliability, manufacturability, and testability levels of the fuse. At the same time, this project combines risk management with the characteristics of the operating environment, and builds a full-life cycle reliability maintenance technology system, effectively strengthening the protective barrier for nuclear power safety operation.
At present, the high-voltage current-limiting fuse developed for this project has passed all the verification tests and industry technical reviews. It has been fully applied in the Ningde Nuclear Power Plant and is also applicable to the medium-voltage power supply systems of similar operating conditions such as the Daya Bay Nuclear Power Plant and Hongyanchang Nuclear Power Plant. This innovative achievement has opened up a new market for the Chinese high-voltage fuse industry and achieved a breakthrough in the domestic production of key protection components for nuclear power plants.

The "Practical Application of the BIQS Management Method to Achieve Excellent Quality Goals" project submitted by Zhongmeng Electric has been successfully selected for the "2025 Shaanxi Province Quality Benchmark" list. This award, as an important honor in the quality field for enterprises in Shaanxi Province, aims to select and promote outstanding quality management practices throughout the province. This recognition indicates that Zhongmeng Electric has reached the forefront of the province in the construction and application of quality management systems.
BIQS (BIQ Quality System) is one of the top quality management systems in the global automotive industry. It is a systematic and structured quality management approach, with its core being "building intrinsic quality". Through 30 modular requirements, it shifts the quality control point forward from post-inspection to pre-emptive prevention and process control, ensuring that every production process outputs qualified products.
Zhongmeng Electric has deeply integrated the BIQS system with its own production practices, establishing a quality culture of "no manufacturing, no transmission, no acceptance of defects". In this benchmark project, Zhongmeng Electric focused on the core production process of fuse products and achieved remarkable results in areas such as non-conforming product management, hierarchical review, PFMEA, and quality digitization, laying a solid foundation for the company's sustainable development in terms of quality.
